Anoro Ellipta (Umeclidinium Bromide/Vilanterol Trifenatate) is a long-term treatment for patients who experience breathing difficulties due to COPD, which is a lung disease. It may also be used to help patients with chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Anoro Ellipta contains two active ingredients: umeclidinium, which is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist, and vilanterol, which is a long-acting beta-agonist. The medication works to relax the muscles of the small airways of the lungs; therefore, making it easier for air to move in and out of the airways. Currently, there is no cure for COPD; however, Anoro Ellipta can help manage the symptoms of shortness of breath and wheezing.
